The Adjara region has the highest incidence of breast cancer in Georgia. The inaugural Georgia Race for the Cure® Batumi was held on Tuesday, September 8th at Era Square to raise awareness about the devastating impact breast cancer has on local families and to educate women about the importance of early screening and treatment.  The event was organized by Women Wellness Care Alliance HERA, its national Proud Partners and local sponsors Sheraton Batumi and Batumi City Hall. Participants enjoyed sampling educational materials, receiving free health consultations and listening to local musical artists perform on the concert stage.
